Katherine Green Robertson is an American attorney and politician who has served as Chief Counsel to the Alabama Attorney General since March 29, 2017. She was born in Dallas County, Alabama, and earned a Bachelor of Science in political science from Auburn University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. Robertson worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, then served as legislative counsel for U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions, focusing on crime, drugs, and national security. Steve Marshall appointed her as chief counsel in March 2017.

During her time in office, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office clashed with the Alabama Department of Corrections over federal lawsuits; Robertson wrote a letter denying that they were blocking settlements. She announced a campaign for the 2026 election in June 2025 and, by November 2025, had received over $1 million in dark money donations. Opponent Jay Mitchell criticized these donations, though he denied that he sought them. Robertson joined Marshall and Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill in opposing Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Robertson supports tough-on-crime policies, including harsher penalties for gangs, child exploitation, and illegal immigration, and she is pro-life on abortion. She married Ryan Christopher on October 9, 2010.
