In the Good Old Country Way is the third studio album by the British post-punk band The Nightingales. It was released in 1986 on Vindaloo Records. In 2005 it was re-released by Caroline True Records and distributed by Shellshock, with extra tracks added. Critics praised it: New Musical Express reviewer David Swift said the band sounded well and truly rejuvenated and mixing with the best of the rest, while James Robert called it easily their most polished work.
