Kandassankadavu Boat Race is a popular Vallam Kali held at Enamakkal Lake and Conolly Canal in Kandassankadavu, Thrissur, Kerala. The race takes place on Thiruvonam day during the Onam festival and starts a 10-day celebration. The trophy is the Chief Minister's Ever-Rolling Trophy. Boats compete in the Iruttukuthi and Churulan categories. The race began in 1955, around the time Kerala was formed. It paused for many years due to financial problems, but in 2011 it was restarted with the support of the Government of Kerala, Thrissur District Tourist Promotion, and Manaloor Grama Panchayat. The current champions are Mahadevan Chundan.
