Jundai Yamada
Jundai Yamada, born Sumihiro Yamada on February 14, 1973 in Tokyo, is a Japanese actor. He is represented by Horipro Booking Agency. His father is the actor and singer Ryōtarō Sugi. He studied at Seijo Gakuen Primary School, spent part of his youth in Hawaii, and graduated from Pepperdine University with degrees in Asian Studies and International Relations.
He began his acting career in 1997, playing Junnosuke Mochizuki in the NHK morning drama Aguri. He has since appeared in TV dramas such as Mito Kōmon (as Atsumi Kakunoshin) and in films like Merdeka 17805, as well as in Roosevelt Game. In 2013 he wrote a non-fiction book about Setsuzo Kotsuji, who helped Jewish refugees along the Trans-Siberian route.
In his private life, he married Kei Takyo in 2016, and they had their first child, a daughter, on December 19, 2016. He is 180 cm tall.
