Anne Emery-Dumas
Anne Emery-Dumas (born 30 August 1959) is a French politician who represented Nièvre in the Senate from 2012 to 2017. She was in the Socialist Party from 1976 to 2017, then joined La République En Marche! (LREM) just before she lost reelection. Before becoming a senator, she was the chief of staff to the president of the Nièvre Departmental Council. She was elected as a Socialist in a December 2012 by-election after Didier Boulaud resigned. She had been chosen as the Socialist candidate for the 2011 Senate election but was ruled ineligible because she was a senior public servant for the departmental council at that time. In December 2016 she supported Emmanuel Macron and joined En Marche!. In the 2017 election she led in the first round but finished third in the second round.
