Joven Alba was a Filipino pool and snooker player. He was born on August 24, 1969, and died in 2016. He played snooker before turning professional in pool from 2009 to 2013. His biggest win came at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, where he and teammates Leonardo Andam and Alex Pagulayan won the team snooker event by beating Thailand’s Nitiwat Kanjanjanasri, Phaithoon Phonbun and Supoj Saenla in the final. In pool, he reached the quarter-finals of the WPA World Eight-ball Championship in 2010 and 2011, losing to Darren Appleton both times. He died in 2016, according to Facebook.
