Jon-Lewis Dickinson
Jon-Lewis Dickinson (born 3 May 1986) is a British former professional boxer from Edmondsley, County Durham. He boxed from 2008 to 2016 as a cruiserweight with an orthodox stance. He is 6 ft 4 in tall. His pro record is 22 fights, 17 wins (5 by knockout) and 5 losses.
He began his career by beating Paul Bonson and Hastings Rasani on points and won the Prizefighter tournament in April 2010, defeating Leon Williams, Mark Krence and Nick Okoth. In July 2010 he suffered a shock knockout to Tyrone Wright and later that year retired on his stool after a broken jaw against Richard Turba, leaving him out of boxing for about a year.
Dickinson returned in July 2011 with a win over David Dolan and then beat Chris Burton in February 2012. He won the English cruiserweight title in March 2012 with a unanimous decision over Matty Askin, in a fight that also served as a British title eliminator.
In October 2012 he won the British Cruiserweight title by defeating Shane McPhilbin by unanimous decision at Echo Arena Liverpool and defended it three times, keeping the Lord Lonsdale belt outright. He lost the title in June 2014 when Ovill McKenzie stopped him in the second round.
Dickinson later won the WBC Continental silver title by KO-ing Stephen Simmons. His younger brother Travis Dickinson is also a professional boxer, and the two are the only brothers to win Prizefighter.
