John Albert Pelling (27 May 1936 – 14 June 2023) was a British fencer who specialized in épée. He was born in London, England.

Olympic and Commonwealth success
At the 1960 Rome Olympics, he won a silver medal in the team épée event for Great Britain. At the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth, he earned a gold and a silver in épée. In 1966 at Kingston, Jamaica, he won gold in the team épée (with Peter Jacobs and Bill Hoskyns) and a silver in the individual épée for England.

National titles
Pelling also won the British Fencing Championships in épée twice, in 1961 and 1965.

Death
He passed away on 14 June 2023 at the age of 87.
