John Jacob Janas (September 4, 1910 – December 5, 1969) was a Republican politician from Lowell, Massachusetts. He began his public service on the Lowell school committee and then spent fourteen years on the Lowell city council, also serving as mayor from 1954 to 1955. He worked as a real estate and insurance broker and took evening courses at the Lowell Technological Institute.

In 1962, Janas won an upset victory and was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives, becoming the first Republican to represent the 15th Middlesex district. He served in the state House from 1963 until his death in 1969 and represented the 29th Middlesex district in 1969. He died in Lowell on December 5, 1969, at age 59. The city named the John J. Janas Memorial Ice Skating Rink in his honor, built in 1971.
