John Edmund Mills (2 September 1882 – 11 November 1951) was a Labour Party politician who served as Member of Parliament for Dartford in three separate periods during the 1920s.

Born in Perth, Australia, Mills grew up in Plymouth and attended the Higher Grade School there. He trained as an engineer and worked at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, where he became chair of the works’ Shop Stewards' Committee.

Mills was elected MP for Dartford in the 1920 by-election. He lost the seat in the 1922 general election, but won it back in 1923 and served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Josiah Wedgwood. He lost the seat again in 1924, then regained it in 1929 before being defeated in 1931.

Beyond Parliament, he served on Woolwich Borough Council and was President of the National Housing Association in 1921.
