Jeffrey A. C. Nelson (born December 18, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center. He was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and is 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, shooting left. Nelson played in the NHL for the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators from 1992 to 2011. He was drafted 36th overall by the Capitals in 1991. In junior hockey, he scored 233 points in 136 WHL games. He appeared in 43 NHL games with Washington during the 1994–95 and 1995–96 seasons. He signed with the expansion Nashville Predators on August 19, 1998, and mostly played for their minor league affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, with 9 NHL games in the 1998–99 season. On June 22, 1999, Nashville traded him back to Washington for future considerations. He is the brother of Hershey Bears head coach Todd Nelson.
