Jean-René Farthouat (June 26, 1934 – January 11, 2020) was a French lawyer known for his leadership in the French legal profession. He held several key positions:

- Premier Secretary of the Paris Bar Conference (1961–1962)
- President of the National Confederation of Lawyers (1980–1981)
- President of the Paris Bar’s professional training school (1994–1995)
- Bâtonnier of the Paris Bar Association (1994–1995)
- President of the National Council of Bars (2000–2002)

He was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, and died at age 85.
