Jamie Redfern (born 9 April 1957) is an English-born Australian singer and TV personality. He was born in Liverpool and moved with his family to Melbourne, Australia. He began performing on TV as a child and made his debut in 1964 on a local kids’ show.

In 1971, Redfern became an original member of the Australian children’s program Young Talent Time, staying until early 1972. He then toured the United States with Liberace, which helped raise his profile.

Redfern released a string of successful records in the early 1970s. His debut album, When You Wish Upon a Star (1971), included a cover of the same song and reached the Top 20 on the Go-Set charts. He won the TV Week King of Pop Outstanding Newcomer award in 1971. His second album, Sitting on Top of the World (1972), also peaked at No. 16. His double A-side singles “Rainbow on the River” / “We’ll Meet Again” (1972) and “Venus” (1973) both peaked at No. 8 on the Go-Set charts. At 15, he became the youngest Australian artist to have a top-10 hit.

In 1973–74 he spent more time in the US touring with Liberace, and his 1974 album Hitch a Ride on a Smile produced a top-30 single. He won the King of Pop award again in 1974. A compilation album, Jamie Redfern’s Golden Hits, followed in 1975.

Later, Redfern performed in clubs in Sydney and Melbourne, taught singing, and ran the Australian Showbusiness Academy as its director. He married Judy around 1987; they have two children and later divorced in 2020. Redfern has described his faith as important and has continued to be involved in music as a performer and teacher.
