Jamie Mitchell (born 6 November 1976 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his career with Norwich City, turning professional in 1995 under manager Martin O’Neill. He was released in 1996 for being lightweight for the Premier League and joined Scarborough, where he made 96 league appearances and scored 14 goals (1996–1998). Scarborough came close to promotion in 1998 but did not reach it and later folded due to financial problems.

Mitchell then returned to Scotland to play for Clyde (1998–2002), making 109 league appearances and scoring 16 goals. He helped Clyde win the Scottish Second Division in 1999–2000 and became a fans’ favourite, earning three consecutive Player of the Year awards. In 2002 he moved to Partick Thistle, where he played for three years before a serious hip injury forced him to retire in 2005. There were reports of a hip replacement operation in 2010.

Overall, he finished with 306 league appearances and 44 goals.
