Jair da Costa, known simply as Jair, was a Brazilian footballer who played mainly as a right winger. He was born on July 9, 1940, in Santo André, Brazil, and died on April 26, 2025, in Osasco, Brazil, at age 84.

Club career: Jair started with Portuguesa (1960–1962) before moving to Inter Milan in 1962. He played for Inter in two spells (1962–1967 and 1968–1972), totaling 199 appearances and 53 goals. He also spent the 1967–68 season with Roma. With Inter, he won four Serie A titles, two European Cups (1964, 1965), and two Intercontinental Cups (1964, 1965). He later played for Santos (1972–1974), winning the Campeonato Paulista in 1973, and finished his career in Canada with Windsor Star in 1975.

International career: Jair earned one cap for Brazil in 1962, in a 3–1 friendly win over Wales. He was part of the Brazil squad that won the 1962 World Cup but did not play in the tournament.

Style: He was an extremely fast and agile winger, with good technique, dribbling, and strong shooting. He could also play as a striker when needed.
