Jack Synold is an American football coach and former player. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and played tight end at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater from 1968 to 1971. After college, he married Ellen, and they have a daughter named Karen.

Synold’s coaching career began in Wisconsin high schools. He was an assistant at Menomonee Falls North High School from 1972 to 1983, then at Menomonee Falls High School from 1984 to 1986. He was the head football coach at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, from 1988 to 1991, compiling a 12–24 record.

He later worked at Wausau East High School in Wisconsin, first as an assistant from 1992 to 1996 and then as the head coach from 1997 to 2006. He and his family then moved to Texas, where his daughter lived, and he coached at Pantego Christian Academy for over ten years.
