Jaago (2010 film)
Jaago is a 2010 Bangladeshi sports drama film written and directed by Khijir Hayat Khan. It stars Ferdous and Bindu in the lead roles, with Arifin Shuvoo, Sharlin Farzana, Tariq Anam Khan, Rawnak Hasan, FS Nayeem and others in supporting parts. The film is said to be the first Bangladeshi movie based entirely on football.
Plot
Shamim, played by Ferdous Ahmed, leads a football team from Comilla XI and runs a local academy called Azad Boys. He asks former Shadhin Bangla Football Team member Safu Bhai (Tariq Anam Khan) to coach them, but Safu initially refuses. After a serious road accident injuries many players, the Tripura XI captain belittles them, suggesting they would have won anyway. Motivated by pride, the Azad Boys decide to dream big, and Safu agrees to coach them for a rematch to restore Comilla’s honor. The team trains hard and plays with true heart.

Jaago premiered on 15 January 2010 and runs for 150 minutes. It is a Bengali-language film from Bangladesh.
Music
The soundtrack features contributions from Arnob along with Kumar Bishwajit, Bappa Mazumder and others. Songs were written by Arnob and Anup Mukhopaddhay and rearranged by Arnob.
Reception
Jaago received fifteen nominations and won six awards at the Film Award Bangla 2010, including Best Film (Critics' Choice), Best Director (Khijir Hayat Khan), Best Music Director (Arnob), Best Actress (Bindu), Best Playback Singer Male (Kumar Bishwajit for "Jhum Jhum Brishti"), and Best Sound Engineer (Bappi Rahman).
