Jørgen Gunnerud (2 June 1948 – 21 May 2025) was a Norwegian crime fiction writer. Born in Oslo, he published his first novel in 1994, Raymond Isaksens utgang. He later wrote Kvinnen fra Olaf Ryes plass (1996) and Gjerningsmann: ukjent (1998). The recurring hero in many of his books is police officer Knut Moen. Gunnerud won the Riverton Prize in 2007 for Høstjakt. In the 1960s, he was active in a left-wing political movement tied to AKP(m-l). He died on 21 May 2025 at age 76 from complications after heart valve surgery.
