Iyad Alasttal, born around 1987 in Khan Yunis, Gaza, is a Palestinian filmmaker living in France. His documentaries focus on life in Gaza. One film, Razan, une trace du papillon, tells the story of Razan al-Najjar, a paramedic killed in June 2018 during the Great March of Return. He also helped French filmmaker Roland Nurier by filming for Yallah Gaza in 2024.

Alasttal received a cinema scholarship from Corsica Palestina to study in Corsica at age 24. His first documentary was about Salouah, a Gaza school bus driver. Since March 2019, he runs Gaza Stories, a bilingual multimedia project in French and English about daily life in Gaza.

In February 2024, during the Gaza war, he narrowly escaped an Israeli attack on Rafah and moved with his family to France, where he continued reporting on Gaza. In November 2024, he won an award in Switzerland from the NGO Press Emblem Campaign, which monitors attacks on journalists.
