Ivan Sansom

Ivan Sansom is a British palaeontologist born in Prestatyn, Wales. He is a Senior Lecturer in Palaeobiology at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on conodont biology and the early evolution of vertebrates in the Paleozoic era. He is an editor of the Journal of the Geological Society. In 2001, Sansom received the Hodson Fund Award from the Palaeontological Association for making an important early contribution to the science.
