Italian submarine Salpa (1932)

Salpa was an Italian Argonauta-class submarine of the Regia Marina (Royal Italian Navy). Built at Cantieri Navali Tosi di Taranto, Taranto, she was laid down in 1930, launched on 8 May 1932, and completed in 1933. Salpa was sunk on 27 June 1941 after being torpedoed by HMS Triumph in the Mediterranean Sea off Mersa Matruh, Egypt.
