Israel–Timor-Leste relations
Israel–Timor-Leste relations refer to the diplomatic ties between Timor-Leste and Israel. Timor-Leste established diplomatic relations with Israel in August 2002. Israel is represented in Timor-Leste through its embassy in Singapore. In 2011, Timor-Leste’s President José Ramos-Horta visited Israel, gave a talk at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and met Israeli President Shimon Peres. Timor-Leste is interested in cooperation with Israel in agriculture and naval security. Israel’s non-resident ambassador to Timor-Leste is Eli Vered Hazan, based in Singapore.
