The Investment Commission of India (ICI) was a three‑member group set up by the Government in December 2004 under the Ministry of Finance. It was led by Chairman Ratan Tata, with Deepak Parekh and Dr. Ashok Sekhar Ganguly as members. Its job was to boost investment in India by advising on policy changes, identifying projects that should be fast‑tracked or mentored, and promoting India as a good place to invest. The ICI has now been abolished.
