Interros
Interros is a private Russian conglomerate based in Moscow. It has large interests in mining, metals, energy, finance, retail, real estate and other sectors. The company is controlled by Vladimir Potanin.
Interros was founded in the 1990s by Vladimir Potanin and Mikhail Prokhorov. Potanin remains the main owner, while Prokhorov left in 2007 after selling his shares for about $7.5 billion.
In December 2021, Interros redomiciled in Russia as Interros Kapital LLC. It is owned by Cyprus-based Whiteleave Holdings Limited and operates from a special administrative district on Russkiy Island in Primorsky Krai.
By the end of 2021, Interros planned to launch a venture fund in Sakha (Yakutia) called Voskhod (Rise) to back high‑tech startups in the Far Eastern Federal District, with about 10 billion rubles to be invested over the next five years.
