Iloilo Science and Technology University
Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) is a public state research university in Iloilo City, Philippines. The main campus is in La Paz, with four additional campuses in Leon, Miag-ao, Barotac Nuevo, and Dumangas. About 15,000 students study there across all campuses. The university colors are blue and gold, and students are nicknamed the Tradeans.
History
- 1905: Founded as Iloilo Trade School under American rule.
- 1939: Renamed Iloilo School of Arts and Trades.
- 1983: Became Western Visayas College of Science and Technology.
- 2013: Gained university status and was renamed Iloilo Science and Technology University.
What it offers
- Undergraduate and graduate programs in technology, agriculture, fisheries, engineering, arts and sciences, forestry, business, health, computer science, criminology, nautical, and vocational-technical and continuing education.
