Iga-Ueno Station (伊賀上野駅, Iga-Ueno-eki) is a railway station in Iga city, Mie Prefecture, Japan. It’s operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR-West) and serves two lines: the JR Kansai Main Line and the Iga Line of Iga Railway. The station is 34.6 km from Kameyama on the Kansai Main Line and 16.6 km from Iga-Kambe on the Iga Line.

The JR-West part has two platforms (one side platform and one island platform) for three tracks. The Iga Railway part has one side platform (a semi-bay platform) and one track. The Iga Line is electrified, while the Kansai Main Line tracks are not.

Facilities include a staffed Midori no Madoguchi ticket office, bicycle facilities, and two accessible bathrooms. Bus connections are available at Iga-Ueno-ekimae (Mie Kotsu routes 31 and 71).

History: The station opened on January 15, 1897 as Ueno Station. It was nationalized in 1907 and renamed Iga-Ueno in 1916. Freight services ended in 1984. After JNR’s privatization on April 1, 1987, JR-West took over. The Iga Railway opened on August 8, 1916, joined Kintetsu in 1944, and was spun out as an independent company again on October 1, 2007.

Passenger use: In fiscal year 2023, the JR-West portion had about 956 boarding passengers daily, and the Iga Railway portion had about 278 daily (based on 2019 data).
