Idogho is a surname found among people in Delta State, especially the Urhobo and Edo groups in Nigeria. It originally meant a young man and comes from Itsekiri and Edo names from the Etsakor area of Agenebode. As families married, the name traveled to children and became more common with each generation. Three people were known by the name Idogho at first: one from Ughelli North (Iwhrenẹnẹ), one from Isoko, and one from Bomadi. Over time, more families kept the surname, and today many communities use it.
