2009 PDC Pro Tour
The 2009 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments run by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It included PDPA Players Championships and UK Open Regional Finals.
Each Pro Tour event had a £400 prize for a nine-dart finish. If no one hit it in an event, the prize carried over to the next event, continuing until someone achieves the nine-darter. When the prize is won, it resets to £400 for the next event.
The German Darts Corporation rankings are based on events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The top player in these rankings automatically qualified for the 2010 World Championship.
The Australian Grand Prix rankings are based on events across Australia. The top player automatically qualified for the 2010 World Championship.
In 2009, the PDC also held other smaller tournaments. These had lower prize money and some eligibility rules, and all of them were non-ranking.
