I Want to Be a Clone is the debut EP by Steve Taylor, released in 1983. The music blends Christian rock with new wave and post-punk, and the album lasts 16 minutes and 50 seconds. It was released on Sparrow Records and produced by Jonathan David Brown. All songs were written and arranged by Steve Taylor.

The lyrics mix criticism of secular society—like materialism and selfishness—with criticism of some Christian churches that water down the gospel for marketing. The album received praise from Christian author Francis Schaeffer, who said the music and message work clearly together and encouraged Taylor to keep going.
