1947 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship

The 1947 championship was the 17th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, established in 1928 by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Dublin were the defending champions but were defeated by Galway in the semi-final. On 7 September 1947, Tipperary won the title by beating Galway 9-5 to 1-5 in the final, earning their fifth All-Ireland minor title and their first in ten seasons.

Provincial champions: Munster – Tipperary; Leinster – Dublin; Ulster – Antrim; Connacht – Galway.
All-Ireland champions: Tipperary; Runners-up: Galway.
