Hypnotized is a song by English singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Scottish musician Wuh Oh. It was released on July 6, 2022, by Douglas Valentine and Cooking Vinyl Records. It started as a standalone single and was later added to the deluxe edition of Ellis-Bextor’s seventh studio album Hana (2023). The track was written by Wuh Oh and Ellis-Bextor and produced by Wuh Oh, Sega Bodega, and Ellis-Bextor.

The song runs 3 minutes and 3 seconds and blends Europop, nu-disco, and avant-pop. It was first performed live during Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco Tour in March 2022. In May, Sega Bodega shared a teaser of the song online. A live version with an extra verse appears on Kitchen Disco – Live at the London Palladium.

Critics described Hypnotized as an avant-pop, disco-pop, icy club banger. Ellis-Bextor also performed it on the Yarra River for Australia’s Sunrise program.

The music video, directed by Sophie Muller with Robbie Ryan as cinematographer, was filmed at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom. In it, Ellis-Bextor wears a tight black latex dress by Atsuko Kudo and features Dita Von Teese–style styling. She dances with a group of performers in an abandoned theatre, while Wuh Oh plays at the DJ deck. The video premiered on July 26, 2022.
