Hypatima tephroplintha
Hypatima tephroplintha is a small moth from Fiji in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1923 and has a wingspan of about 10 mm. The forewings are light brownish-ochre with dark grey specks and about eight grey spots along the leading edge, smaller toward the back; three of the front spots are raised and preceded by faint white marks. There is a grey blotch near the base on the disc, edged with white at the back. There are grey transverse blotches before and after the middle, edged with black and then whitish, resting on the dorsum and touching the costa spots. A cloudy grey spot appears in the rear part of the disc, and small marginal spots surround the apex and outer edge. The hindwings are grey. It has also been named Chelaria tephroplintha.
