Hyalocylidae is a small family of floating sea snails that live in the open ocean. They are pelagic marine gastropods, meaning they swim in the water column rather than on the sea floor. The family includes Hyalocylis striata, with a syntype housed at the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) in Paris. Hyalocylidae belongs to Cavolinioidea within the Pteropoda, and the family name was defined by A. W. Janssen in 2020.
