Hovik Vardoumian
Hovik Vardoumian (born July 26, 1940) is an Armenian short‑story writer and novelist from Chochkan in the Lori region of Armenia. He studied at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute and worked as an engineer at the Institute of Physics in Yerevan. From a young age, he loved poetry, but he mainly published prose during the Soviet era, in small amounts. He served as a volunteer during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict until 1993. He is a member of the Writers Union of Armenia. His novels and stories have been translated into Russian, Ukrainian, Persian, English and French.
