Hinsdale Township High School District 86
Hinsdale Township High School District 86 is a public high school district in Hinsdale, Illinois, serving Hinsdale and Darien. It runs Hinsdale Central High School and Hinsdale South High School. The district serves about 4,000 students in grades 9–12 with a 14:1 student‑to‑teacher ratio.
History and schools
- The first class graduated in 1883.
- The district formed when the elementary and high school became separate districts.
- Originally there was only Hinsdale High School (later Hinsdale Township High School). A 1962 referendum created Hinsdale South High School in Darien.
