Cytometry Part A
Cytometry Part A is a peer‑reviewed scientific journal about cytometry. It started in 1980 and is the official journal of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry. The journal covers molecular analysis of cells, cell‑based spectroscopy, and related bioinformatics and computational methods. It is published monthly by John Wiley & Sons in a hybrid open‑access model. Its 2020 impact factor was 4.355.
Originally named Cytometry, it began in July 1980 with ISSN 0196-4763. Since 2003, it has ISSN 1552-4922. Cytometry Part B (ISSN 1552-4930) is a related journal.
Editors-in-chief have included founding editor Brian Mayall (until 1998), followed by Jan Visser and Charles Goolsby, then Attila Tarnok (2007–2024). Bartek Rajwa was announced as editor-in-chief in 2024.
