Hey America (album)
Hey America is the 30th studio album by James Brown, released in December 1970 on King Records. The funk record runs 34 minutes and 6 seconds and was written by Nat Jones. It was recorded in October 1970 at King Studios in Cincinnati and Bobby Smith Studios in Macon, with track 5 vocals recorded on October 19. James Brown produced the album. The singles were "Hey America" and "Santa Claus Is Definitely Here to Stay," both released in November 1970. In Brown’s discography, Hey America comes after Sex Machine (1970) and before Super Bad (1971).
