Heavens Hell is a 2019 Nigerian psychological drama directed by Katung Aduwak. It features an ensemble cast led by Nse Ikpe Etim, with actors such as Fabian Adeoye Lojede, Bimbo Akintola, Chet Anekwe, Damilola Adegbite, OC Ukeje, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Jacobs, Bimbo Manuel and Gideon Okeke. Set in Lagos, the story follows two housewives whose close friendship hides deceit and betrayal as their marriages fall apart. The film aims to address domestic violence and to inspire people to leave unhealthy relationships.
The project was financed by BGL Asset Management Ltd and One O Eight Media, with support from Hashtag Media House and Aberystwyth University. Principal photography began on 9 April 2013 in Lagos, including scenes shot in Kirikiri Maximum and Medium Security Prisons, and later moved to Wales. It was shot on Sony F55 cameras, with Jeffrey Smith directing the production. The official soundtrack, “3rd World War,” was created by Jesse Jagz and Femi Kuti and released on 7 August 2013.
Heaven's Hell faced delays after its initial planned release in January 2015 due to censorship issues. It was eventually released theatrically on 10 May 2019 and distributed by Genesis Distribution. The film runs 95 minutes and is in English.
