Hawkins is an American legal drama and murder mystery TV series that aired on CBS for one season from March 13, 1973, to March 5, 1974. James Stewart stars as Billy Jim Hawkins, a rural-born lawyer who runs a private practice in the fictional town of Beauville, West Virginia. Despite the small-town setting, he takes on high-profile murder cases from clients all over the United States, traveling to gather evidence and uncover the real killers. His cousin, R. J. Hawkins, often helps with investigations.

The show was created by David Karp and produced by Arena-Leda Productions in association with MGM Television. The pilot aired as a 90-minute TV movie on March 13, 1973; the regular series premiered on October 2, 1973, with each episode running 90 minutes as part of The New CBS Tuesday Night Movies wheel.

Hawkins received good critical reception, and Stewart won the 1973 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama Series. However, the series was canceled after eight episodes (the pilot plus seven regular episodes) because Stewart felt television scripts and direction could not match the quality of his film work, and he chose not to return to series television. Jerry Goldsmith composed the theme music, and Norman Felton was the executive producer.
