Harrison Township is a small, rural area in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. It was organized in 1858 and named after early settler Joseph D. Harris. The township covers about 35.3 square miles (31.7 land and 3.5 water). In 2000, 665 people lived there in 259 households and 198 families, mostly White, with a median age of 42. The average household income was around $41,000 and the median family income about $49,000, with a per-person income near $18,200. About 21 people per square mile live in the township, and a small share of residents live below the poverty line.
