Hairy Hill

Hairy Hill is a small hamlet in central Alberta, Canada, within the County of Two Hills No. 21. It lies on Highway 45, about 102 kilometres east of Edmonton. The name comes from the large amount of bison hair found on the hills when the Canadian Pacific Railway founded the hamlet in the early 1900s. Hairy Hill had a population of 30 in the 2001 census. The community is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST in winter, MDT in summer) and uses area codes 780, 587, and 825.
