Glass Cloud was an American progressive metalcore band from Hampton, Virginia, active from 2011 to 2015. It was formed by Jerry Roush, Joshua Travis, Travis Sykes, and Chad Hasty. Roush had previously sung for Sky Eats Airplane and Of Mice & Men, while Travis played guitar for The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza.

The band signed with Equal Vision Records in the US and Basick Records in the UK. They released their debut album, The Royal Thousand, in July 2012. An EP called Perfect War Forever followed in October 2013.

How it started and early releases
- Roush announced the Glass Cloud project for months, and in December 2011 it was revealed that Sykes and Hasty would be in the band, with Travis as guitarist.
- The first single, “White Flag,” came out on March 2, 2012, and their first show was March 13, 2012 in Mission, Texas.
- A double single featuring “White Flag” and “Counting Sheep” was released digitally. They joined the Scream It Like You Mean It 2012 tour and released The Royal Thousand on July 3, 2012, with a CD release show in Hampton.

Tours, news, and releases
- Glass Cloud took part in the summer 2012 Scream It Like You Mean It tour and the fall Alternative Press Tour.
- In November 2012, the band survived a serious van accident in Oregon with no serious injuries.
- In 2013 they covered Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” for the Take Action compilation. They supported Silverstein on tour early in the year and participated in several other tours through 2013.
- Their single “Ivy & Wine” appeared on Equal Vision’s New Sounds 2013 compilation. They planned a European tour with Blessthefall in October 2013 but canceled due to logistical issues.
- On August 6, 2013, Roush said an untitled EP was complete. The band supported The Chariot on their Farewell Tour in late 2013, and another tour accident in Wyoming occurred, but no one was hurt. They released Perfect War Forever on October 22, 2013, with singles “Trapped Like Rats” and “How To Survive Suicide” released beforehand. The EP was streamed in full on October 18, 2013.

Lineup changes and later years
- On June 17, 2014, Travis Sykes and Chad Hasty left Glass Cloud. The remaining members pursued new music, and the band carried on with touring plans.
- In early 2015, Joshua Travis hinted at a new album on social media. By 2016, Travis and drummer Josh Miller had joined the band Emmure.
