Gienek Loska, born Henadzi Loska on January 8, 1975, in Byelaazyorsk (now Belarus), was a Belarusian-Polish singer, songwriter and guitarist. He started playing guitar at 13 and his first performances were on the Minsk Metro. He moved to Poland in the early 1990s, living in Białystok, Kraków, and later Wrocław. He co-founded the blues-rock band Seven B in Grodno, which released three albums before they split in 2006, after which he formed the Gienek Loska Band. Loska became widely known after winning the first season of the Polish X Factor in 2011, and he often performed on the streets of Polish cities. He married Agnieszka Stawicka in 2004 and had a daughter named Aleksandra. He passed away on September 9, 2020, in Byelaazyorsk, Belarus, at the age of 45.
