Georgios Papasideris
Georgios Saranti Papasideris (1875–1920) was a Greek athlete and weightlifter from Koropi. He competed in the 1896 Athens Olympics. In shot put he finished third with a best throw of 10.36 meters. He also competed in the discus, finishing somewhere between fifth and ninth. In the two-handed weightlifting event (now called the clean and jerk) he tied for fourth place with Carl Schuhmann, both lifting 90 kilograms.
