George X, born Jorge Bribiesca Ayala on January 23, 1974, is a Mexican TV host who specializes in action sports and mixed martial arts. He is the Spanish-language announcer for the X Games on ESPN Deportes and serves as a play-by-play commentator for Bellator MMA, often with Manny Rodriguez. He first gained national attention in 2001 while at Televisa for reporting on Super Bowl XXXV dressed as an American football player.

In 2004 he hosted Gana la Verde in Los Angeles, a Fear Factor–style reality show where winners were promised legal help to obtain Green Cards; the program drew criticism for taking advantage of contestants’ situations. He also hosted three seasons of Reto Final Nissan for Fox Deportes, reuniting international soccer stars for televised rematches. Since 2004 he has covered the X Games for ESPN Deportes as an on-site reporter and blogger.

George X comes from a family of artists. His father, Jorge Bribiesca Castañeda, was a guitar professor who played with Mexican music groups; his uncle Salvador Bribiesca was a painter and founder of the Bribiesca Arts Institute; another uncle, Antonio Bribiesca, was a well-known composer and guitarist who appeared on Mexican TV and radio in the 60s and 70s.

Born in Mexico City, he moved to Guadalajara at age 11, where he began Tae Kwon Do and earned a black belt after three years. In high school he excels in graphic design and media, becoming a popular cartoon designer and school radio/TV host. He started his career behind the scenes at Televisa Guadalajara, then hosted the kids game show Super Acción in 1995. He later worked on Generacion X and served as art director on various shows. From 2000 to 2003 he worked with Televisa Deportes as a special events correspondent and adventure reporter.

Since 2004 he has covered the X Games for ESPN Deportes, and he has continued to work as a Spanish-language commentator in other sports, including boxing and MMA, on networks such as Spike, Facebook Watch, and ESPN Deportes.
