Frontone is a small Italian town (comune) in the Marche region, in the province of Pesaro e Urbino. It lies about 60 kilometers west of Ancona and 45 kilometers southwest of Pesaro, at an elevation of 412 meters. The municipality covers 36 square kilometers and has around 1,355 residents, who are called Frontonesi (as of February 28, 2009). Frontone borders Cagli, Cantiano, Pergola, Scheggia e Pascelupo, and Serra Sant'Abbondio. The town is home to the Rocca (castle), designed in part by Francesco di Giorgio Martini.
