Péage Island
Péage Island is a small rocky island in Antarctica, about 0.93 kilometres (0.5 nautical miles) southwest of Cape Découverte. It sits in Adélie Land at 66°46′S 141°32′E. The French Antarctic Expedition charted it in 1951 and named it Péage, which means toll booth in French, because its position seems to control access to the Curzon Islands for ships coming from Port Martin. The island is uninhabited and is governed under the Antarctic Treaty System.
