Friends & Legends
Friends & Legends is the fifth studio album by Dominican singer Henry Santos. It was released on May 7, 2021, by Hustle Hard Entertainment. The album features friends and bachata legends like Alexandra (from Monchy & Alexandra), Joe Veras, Luis Vargas, Anthony Santos "El Mayimbe," and merengue great El Prodigio.
The project started releasing singles well before the album came out. Early singles include "Don Juan & Cupido" (May 3, 2019) and "Weekend" (Nov 15, 2019), with more follow-up releases through 2020. When the album finally arrived on May 7, 2021, the remaining tracks were also released as individual singles, each with its own cover art.
A standout track is "Mambo," a salsa collaboration with David Kada that reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart.
The release was delayed from May 2020 to May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Santos explained the timing wasn’t right. He also added "Una Mentirita," featuring Luis Vargas, to the album after the delay because it wasn’t finished in time for the original schedule.
