Fredrik Hammar is a Swedish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Mechelen in Belgium’s top league. Born on 26 February 2001, he grew up in Hässelby and came through the IF Brommapojkarna academy. He made his senior debut for Brommapojkarna in 2017, then moved to Akropolis IF in 2018.

In 2019 he joined Brentford in England, mainly playing for the B team and making one first‑team appearance in 2020. He returned to Akropolis in 2021, before joining Hammarby’s feeder club, Hammarby TFF, in 2022 and soon moving up to Hammarby IF, where he became a regular player.

In January 2025 he transferred to Mechelen in Belgium. Hammar has represented Sweden at U17 and U19 level, earning 25 caps and scoring 4 goals for the U17s and 5 caps for the U19s. He began his career as a holding midfielder, and before focusing on football he also played floorball and ice hockey. He is a supporter of Hammarby IF.
