Francisco Jose Matugas II
Francisco Jose Forcadilla Matugas II, also known as Bingo Matugas, is a Filipino politician from Surigao del Norte. He was born on March 18, 1969, in Sampaloc, Manila. He served as the representative of Surigao del Norte’s 1st District in the House of Representatives from June 30, 2016, to June 30, 2025, succeeding his father, Francisco T. Matugas. His parents, Francisco Matugas and Sol Matugas, are former governors of Surigao del Norte.
He is married to Ethel Labella-Matugas and they have three children: Frances Estrelle, Franz Elijah, and Francis Eugene. He lives in Dapa, Surigao del Norte, and studied at the University of San Carlos and the University of the Philippines. Matugas has been a member of Lakas-CMD since 2022, after previously being with PDP–Laban (2017–2022) and the Liberal Party (2015–2017).
